Full Version: Kaspersky Pure and Thunderbird??

Dear all, chasing ideally a solution. Failing that.....heaven knows.

On Monday just gone I went from the 30 day trial and puyrchased Kaspersky Pure.....it appears I may not have been trialling the Pure version.

Anyway, since removing AVG, (which by the way was not causing any problems), I cannot get e-mail via Thunderbird 3.0.6, UNLESS I turn off anti-spam, (which isn't a problem) and also TURN OFF e-mail protection.
Which defeats the whole purpose of having Kaspersky Pure, doesn't it???

I've been to the Global Kaspersky help forum, and only had oone reply, someone telling me that Kasperky's plug-in doesn't work with TB3, which I already knew.

But what was not said, is there any way to make TB3 work with Kaspersky Pure, or have I just wasted my money???

I'm running Windows 7, Firefox browser, and everything else is O.K.

I just find it hard to believe that a product like Kaspersky is incompatible with Thunderbird???

So hoping someone has a solution, please, or else someone delivers the bad news.

If it is any consolation, it does not work successfully on my XP Pro SP3 system with Outlook Express 6 either.
You would think paying good money for a program like this you would expect it to work faultlessly with the most commonly used email client, but no. At least once a day it blocks all emails from downloading and then crashes and stops responding and the whole system has to be rebooted to restore normal operation.
So far it has been a total waste of money.
